Education and Support for Pods (ESP)
Education and Support for Pods was created in 2005 to serve the needs of Youth Pods nation-wide. Made up of two Youth Empowerment Specialists, Suzanne Johnston and Jenna Ott, ESP provides Youth Development Support to Pod Navigators. ESP specializes in training for youth philanthropy groups, facilitation, non-profit education and customized action planning.
THE DEKKO FOUNDATION
The Dekko Foundation, a private family foundation with a mission of “fostering economic freedom through education” provides major financial support for Youth Pods.
The Foundation believes that Youth Pods add value to their community because young people:
- Learn, in hands-on ways, to be philanthropic with their time, talent and treasure
- Learn to effectively manage and govern a nonprofit organization.
- Play meaningful and respected roles in community development.
- Receive an opportunity to work alongside adults to address community issues.
- Become recognized as significant financial contributors to community development.
