ABOUT KEYS

KEYS (Kosciusko Endowment Youth Services) students represent grades 8 through 12, from the four school corporations in Kosciusko County: LakelandChristianAcademy, Tippecanoe Valley, Warsaw and Wawasee.  New KEYS members are selected by their school administrators at the end of their 7th grade school year.

KEYS Officers include: Co-facilitators, Secretary and Treasurer.  Elections take place in May for the upcoming school year.  KEYS has four standing committees: Community Service, Endowment, Grant and Public Relations.  Committee membership is determined in May by the outgoing Officers, taking into considerations member preferences.  Committees meet in August to elect a Chairperson and set their goals for the year. Much of the work on KEYS programs and projects is done by the Committees.  The Officers and Committee Chairpersons assume the leadership of KEYS by meeting monthly, aside from the regular monthly KEYS meeting, to decide on the agendas, programs and projects of KEYS.

KEYS meetings are held each month through the school year with the length of the KEYS meeting dependent upon the agenda. A fun team building meeting begins the year - this year at Paige’s Crossing - concluding with a parent carry-in supper.
