HANDS FOUNDATION HIGHLIGHTS FOR COMING SCHOOL YEAR
The HANDS Foundation is looking forward to the 2008-2009 school year. We are fortunate to get approval from The Dekko Foundation for funding for another year. Plus, an additional amount was granted through the Philanthropic Oxygen phase of the request and members are encouraged to take advantage of the financial assistance. Projects for the coming year involve the following:
- Conducting the Endowment Enhancement raffle which will be completed by mid November
- Continuing our tradition of Littlest Philanthropist Day which educates 3rd graders about time, talent, and treasure
- Hosting Christmas Parties for HeadStart Children
- Volunteering at Children’s Hope Hospitality House to do spring time chores at the facility
- Continuing to grant money to causes that improve education and enhance the quality of life in Whitley County
HANDS is starting its fourteenth year in a collaborative effort with The Dekko Foundation, Whitley County Community Foundation, and three school corporations in Whitley County.
